It does indeed seem that way... finally. I gotta tell ya though Commish, after five years of fantasy reports from DOD, I have adopted a wait and see attitude on thses things. At least this time all information seems to corroberate this news.

It will take a while for me to be convinced that we won't be drawn into action nearby before we can even get half the troops home.

It's sad. You see this as big news. And yet do you really think the media is going to play this up all that much/ The fact is they could have been playing it up for nearly a year but,--for whatever reason, duh--choese not to. Now it's too embarrassing if they don't give it some credence.

This particular article was very good because it summarizes all the positive things going on over there. Usually you get bits and pieces at best. It was kind of nice to see it all in one place.

The article states that we will soon be in a peacekeeping role, and that our mission as combatants is truly winding down. That said, don't count on all the troops being out of there soon. There's one of the biggest deposits of oil in the world sitting under Iraq...and we're not about to let some crazy arabs fuck up either our economy or the world economy. You did know that this war was almost exclusively about oil, didn't you?

We won that bag of shit.

Thinking back on all your negative posts and political partisianship I can't help but think you'd really rather see 'em come home in body bags.

Everyone take notice. Imagine what it must be like to lay your head on the pillow at night tormented by the thought of hoping things go bad in Iraq for no other reason than to be correct. I don't give a damn if Dennis Kucinich is president, if troops are on the ground, we must support them and hope for victory. Their mission is debatable but their success or failures is not.

Crowley is the sad product of his liberal ideology. He is incapable of seeing the other side of the fence. I wouldn't expect him to agree with anything, he is to far gone for that, but maybe just get a glimpse of what else exists.
