Yet More Bad News For Republicans
ROTF!!
War Room - Salon.com
Ever have one of those weeks where you just want to go home, have something strong to drink and then maybe crawl into bed until the weekend comes and brings sweet relief? I'm getting the feeling this may be one of those weeks for John McCain -- his political strength, Iraq, seems to be slipping away from him.
First, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said he supported Barack Obama's plan for Iraq. Now, a new poll from NBC News and the Wall Street Journal shows that, despite the McCain campaign's push against discussing or setting a timeline for U.S. withdrawal from that country, by a wide majority Americans are in favor of a timetable. Sixty percent of respondents think a timetable is a good idea, NBC's First Read blog reports; only 30 percent disagree.

63% Say Trip Does Not Make Obama More Fit to be President
Wednesday, July 23, 2008
While Barack Obama has touted his travel to the Middle East and Europe this week as a “fact-finding” trip, 63% of Americans do not believe it makes the Democratic candidate any more qualified to be president.
A new Rasmussen Reports national survey, taken Monday night, also finds that less than a third (32%) think Obama will learn from his trip to Iraq. Forty percent (40%) say his mind is already made up about policies to deal with the war there. The Democrat has been accused by liberals in his party of softening his long-standing opposition to the war in Iraq in an effort to appeal to more moderate voters.

In a separate survey this week, 45% said Obama is too inexperienced to be president. This number has risen from 41% over the past week. But the same number -- 45% -- believe the Democratic candidate does have the necessary experience.

Another Rasmussen Reports survey this week finds that while voters trust Obama more on most issues, McCain has a double-digit lead on his rival when it comes to national security and the war in Iraq. Overall, Obama and McCain remain very close in the popular vote contest as measured by the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.

Wow, and he is still leading Old Man John in the polls. Imagine that. Not only will he probably win the presidency but he will have large majorities in both houses.
He that laughs last....

The laughs are on you Poirot, the king of spades should be up by double digits at minimum. Meanwhile, 45% don't even think he's qualified for the job and only 45% think he is. That's not going to get it done dopey.

Also worth noting that Mccain is shifting focus to spending money on his home state. If you need to do that, you're in serious trouble.

>>>The difference between the 7 point lead that he has and the 12-20 lead he SHOULD have is due to one thing - race.
