to bad. you said, " slave states. " they comprise of, mass, ny, ri, conn, nj, pa, del, md, virginny, nc, sc, ga, fla, al, miss, la, tx, tenn, ky, missery, and arkansas. when ny WAS a slave state, all her citizens who owned slaves, still owned them when they traveled to other countires, let alone other territories or states. when mass WAS a state, all her citizens who owned slaves, when both travelled to their territories, { maine, new hampshire and vermont, } were STILL slaves. so you want to set dates now? okay. there were 13 slave states who confederated to join the u.s. of a.. and california, when it was part of the u.s., allowed slavery. now this WAS before state hood of the sacramento govt, but slavery was STILL permitted in her borders BEFORE statehood. so at the VERY least. yer country does NOT include, ny, ri, conn, mass, OR pa. succeed away. hey, we will all chip in if you invent a saw powerfull enough to cut off washington, oregon, and especialy california from the rest of us.
