Protest Zone Far Cry From Pepsi Center, ACLU Says
New Suit Claims Delegates Won’t Hear Activities
by Sara Burnett
DENVER - The designated protest zone at the Democratic National Convention will be more than two football fields away from the Pepsi Center - a revelation that drew new legal challenges Monday from the American Civil Liberties Union.
The ACLU, which represents 13 protest groups, says the site effectively denies protesters their right to free speech because delegates and others attending the DNC won’t be able to see or hear them.
According to a map released by the city late last week, the protest zone will be in the southern corner of Lot A, about 700 feet from the Pepsi Center. In some places, the view of the building’s main doors is obstructed by trees and sculptures.
“No human voice, or any other sound . . . can ever hope to reach a person at the entrance,” lawyers for the ACLU wrote in an amended complaint filed in federal court in Denver.

Hey, you know liberal dimocrats. Fairness, and free speech, only apply to those who agree with them. All others are to be silenced, one way or another.

That's terrific. Especially considering the feigned liberal outrage over a protester being removed from a McCain event. It's good to see the ACLU and the EIEIO's biting the hand that has fed them for so long. Apparently there are still some pissed off Hillary supporters out there.
No wonder they moved the magic negro's speech to Nuremberg...

Once again, we see hypocrisy being pointed out with hypocrisy.
Once again you've fallen into the partisan weasel trap.
It's not about "They did it first"
no they did
nope those guys did
uh uh, we didnt' do it first they did
Does it really matter? The point is... the media, the politicians and the government are silencing YOUR voice. It doesn't matter if you are left or right anymore. They get it and are counting on you to do exactly as you have done, attack each other instead of opposing the infrengement executed by both sides. Calling you folks dupes doesn't do you justice. Both camps are doing it. But instead of seeing a common enemy in government and media, an issue we could stand united on, you choose instead to echo the words of the opinion makers. Worthless.

That's a little rough I'm sure that they are truly concerned about the people that voted for them and will allow them to make deals so that if they aren't re-elected they can eanr six figures a year for the rest of there lives. Liberals really do care about you and me... as long as we donate to their campaigns

Are you ready to stand up and lead the revolution, be there in front of the front line? Or are you just trying "egg it on", from the rear?

The only concern liberals have for me is in regard to how much they can hit my wallet for. Always in the form of higher taxes, as I refuse to contribute to their campaigns.

Re-create 68 set on parks during DNC
Affiliates of that group submit multiple requests to occupy sites during the convention.
Barbara Rivera wants to "stand for peace" on behalf of the U.S. Department of Peace and Nonviolence.
Duke Austin hopes to hold a five-day "this is what democracy looks like" rally with the Students for Peace and Justice.
Adam Jungk proposes to set up a Tent State University. Barbara Cohen applied for a "festival of democracy;" her husband, Mark Cohen, for a "celebration of democracy."
They're just five of the people who submitted more than 200 applications to occupy 14 centrally located Denver parks during the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
Re-create 68.

Here's the thing, you just can't make this shit up.....so how far do they want to go to "Re-Create" 68?
Shall we bring out the National Guard?

Only if they are fully armed and cleared to fire at will.

If a revolution is needed, if all else fails, if the people finally realize they've been pitted aganzt each other to keep them from uniting against a runaway gonvernment... If it is a just cause to re-estblish the founding principles of individual sovereignty and due representation, you bet I'll be on the front lines.
However, if you look back at our own history, there were plenty that egged on the original revolution that did not fight or shed blood... well, outside of the pugelistic debates on congress. Franklin was overseas during much of it, Thomas Paine really cemented the ideology of the cause in the minds of the common man with "Common Sense".
Each man has a role to fill. If it comes to it, I will play the role required of me. If that means "being on the front lines" then so be it. As it is right now... I don't see a line at all.
