The only damn time out of the day is when I will pay attention to the news is when I am reading lunch or breakfast and I pick up the newspaper and I pretty much read it cover to cover. Or when I switch on the Am dial because I am so sick of hearing that fucking song "Bleeding heart" play over and over again on my car radio.

I read the paper as well. Don't usually get my info from the net. But I have on occasion. I guess I am not a radio person. Don't want to hear opinions of people I don't know.

Fascinating isn't it? The hard on people get for this guy. Hey, if he can get the money, go for it. They pay people millions to throw a baseball and that is much more difficult (to do it well).

Actually, the current political climate makes Limbaugh more relevant. Americans don't feel like the Republican Party is sticking up for their interest, and the Democratic Party has turned Communist. With an Obama victory, Limbaugh's audience will get even larger.

Only in the most abstract, obtuse way. The companies he works for pay him. Their advertisers pay them. And we pay the advertisers.

Now since there are three different people making decisions there for three different reasons (I doubt you pay the advertisers by buying their product because of who the advertise with, you do so because you want their product for the price they are charging), it really cannot be said you are paying for Rush.

I suppose whomever buys the products of his sponsers, is paying him. I'll have to find out who they are and stop buying their products.

The money has to come from somewhere, he is not producing anything, the price of something that is advertised on his show or has ties with it has to go up a bit. I highly doubt someone is taking a pay cut so he gets more money.

You're not paying a dime directly, only if you support the advertisers. It is through the ads, is where the money comes to pay Limbaugh. Don't buy flooring from Lumber liquidators, don't sleep on a "sleep comfort bed", Life Lock GM, and Allen Brothers steaks. If you stay clear of these, then you have all the money left to be taxed from you to throw at PBS, and NPR.
