I'm pretty sure the ten year quote referred to the war on terrorism...not the war in Iraq. I think they believed exactly what Chalabi and the boys were saying. That's only reason I can think of that they were so ill-prepared for the Phase 4 OPS.

As thois thing as gone on one thing that occurred to me that the only people they hate more than us and Israel are each other. If you recall, the day the Sunnis blew up the Golden Dome was when all hell broke loose.

Actually, I think it was Al Qaeda who blew it up (and they are Sunni as well), but not the Sunni Iraqis. But, the net result was Shiite anger against the Iraqi Sunnis...which was the primary goal of the attack.
