I find it amazing that we the people can have our leaders on tape, digital media, video or even cell phone camera and they will deny, deny, deny. And yet we re-elect these bastards every time they come up for election.

Is it this guys fault that he doesn't say "I'm Sorry" or is it the fault of a dumbed down and ignorant electorate?

The old saying of "If you tell a lie enough, it becomes truth" works in this case. i think people have become so numbed by life and don't have either the time or the energy to really look beyond their credit card and mortgage bills to worry about what this guy says or doesn't say. Another reason why scumbags (in both parties) continue to get elected is that the really intelligent people in this country won't get involved in politics. Why would they with all of the nonsense that goes around. On this very site I had recently posted an article Patti Davis Regan who was commenting on the 4 year anniversary of Ronald Reagan's (her father) death. One of the things she had mentioned was that he wouldn't have like all of the vitriol that today's politics have evolved into. Patti, you should know is completely on the opposite side of the political spectrum than her father was so it wasn't about "the legacy" of Reagan or anything like that. You should see some of the smear that those on the far-left of this board posted in reply. Blew my mind. I don't even think they read it. They just saw Reagan's name and went nuts. But that is today's political climate. Now who the hell is their right mind would want to run for anything in that kind of enviornment? The far-left of this country are the angriest, most bigoted, out of touch, self-loathing group of people possibly on the planet. They are the worst.

You are so correct. On another board not too long ago, I took the high road and defended the constitution. I was attacked by every liberal moron on the board. They accused me of being a "white supremacist" until I proved to them I was black. They did not read a word of what I wrote except for the parts that I said I was conservative.

You cannot have an argument with a 4 year old. They just don't have the mental capacity to fully understand and reason. Sad to say but most liberals fall into that category as well. Everything is saddled on how they feel instead of how they think.

I think that people just need to be led and don't ask a lot of questions. People like Jesse Jackson have made a very comfortable living over the years by labeling people into this and that category that they just believe it because a) Jesse said it. It must be true and b) Again, they are just so numb. You aren't the first conservative black individual I've come across (though you are one of the few). However, I have been told horror stories about reactions from within their own communities when they've spoken out. Michael Steele also went through the same nonsense as has Colin Powell, Ms. Rice, Clarence Thomas, J.C. Watts and even Bill Cosby (who I do not believe is conservative).

Liberalism is more about what feels good as opposed to what is. It's the difference between Idealism and realism.
