You and your media appointed candidate have chained yourselves to the "unwinnable war" rhetoric when every indication is that it is indeed winnable and Barack Hussein is going to be hung out in the breeze. Unstable? Iraq is more stable now with a brighter future than it was under Saddam, and oil production is at it's highest output since the war began.
Idiocy? You are the ignorant fuck who claimed this war was for oil and bitching about the price at the pump. If we wanted the oil we could take it, but that would only legitimize your leftist fantasy. Let's get our own fucking oil while you idiots dream about getting to work on flying carpets.

And as to drilling, short term solution when there are other ways, like using less oil and turning to alternatives.
|
Is your plan to reduce oil use by making it impossible to fucking buy any? That's a brilliant gameplan asshole but the guy running the tractor trailer with your food onboard doesn't want to hear it. What are you doing to reduce oil usage, piggybacking to the fag bar? That's very noble of you moron but half of Detroit is out of work because this country runs on oil and that's not going to change anytime soon.
How about transitioning to alternatives while we use the resources we already have under our feet, instead of fantasizing and destroying our economy? The quickest solution to the immediate problem isn't in alternative energy, it's demanding congress to pull their head from their ass and get the oil we already have.
The solution is only short term if you plan on living for a few centuries as the experts (not some liberal dumbfuck on a message board) suggest. You liberals have your priorities completely fucked up and soon you will have to answer to the lynch mob.

You obviously will convince yourself of anything. The truth is, high gas prices are blamed on Republicans and for good reason, they are against Conservation in any form because it hurts oil company profits. Nuff said

Americans are not fooled by this drilling our way out of this. They know we use too much oil. 100 year supply? Ya right. There probably isn't enough oil in the world left for 100 years

We are Winning. Haven't you heard...or is it that you still believe Harry Reid?

(smile) No, you do realize that the Dem Congress has a lower "approval" rating than Bush does, don't you? LIBS will convince themselves of anything if it means "power" for them.

Winning??? Winning what? Talk about a misguided, ignorant, fool hardy belief! Even if we "win" there we have lost

If he gets elected that is.
Thank God I only have two years left.
Just about the time all his changes take effect I am out the door.

I believe it was Nancy Pelosi who before the last congressional elections touted something to the effect that "if we are in control of congress you will see relief at the pumps" well, they've been in control of congress for awhile now, and pretty much since they've taken control of congress gas prices have doubled from what they were before.... Hmmmmm I think I see the problem.
The only way out of this mess is to build more refineries, drill anyplace that even might have oil, don't allow our oil companies to sell their oil outside of the US and by all means and please keep looking for a good alternative, we'll need it very soon, but the alternatives won't get us out of this mess it will have to be a slow move to whatever the "new fuel" will be (unless they come up with something that will burn in a regular ole gasoline engine since that's what we all already own) because not everyone can afford a new car at $30k plus. Pretty much everyone I know drives to work and back and that's pretty much it anymore. I go to the store about every 2 weeks for groceries now and other than that and driving to work that's all the driving that happens here. Can't cut back anymore but the cost keeps going up. They've been trying to make us pay what they pay for gas in Europe for years... the problem is America can't operate like that. Europe would fit nicely inside the USA with oooooodles of room to spare all around it. We need fuel to keep america alive. We don't have mass transit everywhere that will take you where you need/want to go. In Europe a car isn't a necessity to live, here it absolutely is unless you live in a big city which most of us don't. They should drill until we can have our $1.20 a gallon gasoline again. And when you've got that perfect replacement for it ready, let me know
