If he was a smart soldier, all he needed to do was use the Quran as target practice and make his target of choice known to the people of Iraq. The military would have promptly reassigned him to a position back in the US, but not before ass kissing the Iraqis by apologizing in a completely submissive, bent over manner.

I was making a point here asswipe, the fact that these cave people would make an issue out of it and the military would then go into dhimmi mode over it, is exactly the reason why we need to get out, now.
Trying to bring a more tolerant, democratic form of government to these cave dwellers has proven to be the impossible dream....the experiment has failed, Islam is unbending and the US is too PC.

Not exactly, but it would get him out of the ME. Using a damned book for target practice would not be grounds for military discharge, regardless of it's content.
Look, it's obvious that the US is not fully committed to winning this thing, otherwise we would take to task those states that are responsible for supporting these animals that are killing US soldiers as well as Iraqi civilians....this includes Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Syria etc..
Until the US sends a clear ultimatum to these states with military implications, every soldier should do what he can in order to protect themselves, this includes, but is not limited to using the Quran for target practice.
