It all just keeps addinig up, doesn't it? I agree...
My question is, when did you become such an advocate for women? I think you and your opinions of women are blatant, and obvious. You have written crap on many threads that is an obvious insult to women, and yet you attack Obama for calling someone sweetie? Bahahahahaha! You have called me sweetie several times, and you meant it with disrespect.... Obama is not you!... But I guess you'll buy into anything the neo cons tell you to....

It seems even you drink grudglingly when lead to the well of wisdom.
Go find one thing I have written insulting women in general. You specifically I have insulted as I detest anyone who accuses our servicemen of killing millions of innocent Iraqis. You specifically are worthy of contempt. I used 'sweetie' in a manner to show that you are worthy of contempt.

Millions is a streach...but....Thousands of innocent Iraqis have been killed by the US military operations
You are not actually denying that. Are you ?
You aren’t trying to say it is ok to display your fear and resentment of women, when we “deserve it“. Are you ?
Oh my,,I think you ARE !

You can try to excuse such actions by saying 'I can think of worse things....' but it does not diminish what he said nor does it make what Obama said any better.
Fascinating question about his behavior. What do we really know about Obama? In modern times there has never been a presidential candidate that we knew less about. What I do know about Obama is that he demanded Imus be fired for one similarly offensive comment. "He didn't just cross the line," Obama said. "He fed into some of the worst stereotypes that my two young daughters are having to deal with today in America. The notions that as young African-American women -- who I hope will be athletes -- that that somehow makes them less beautiful or less important. It was a degrading comment. It's one that I'm not interested in supporting." --Obama on Imus
I would point out that Imus apologized numerous times, and it was not the typical politician apology of 'I apologize to anyone who was offended by my remarks', Imus made genuine heartfelt apologies before Obama demanded for Imus to loose his job. So I would say any apologies by Obama, if he made any, are irrelevant according to Obama.
According to Obama, the words are enough to require someone loosing public positions. Just as Imus should have lost his job so should Obama if we apply Obama's standard when dealing with others.
I have 3 sisters and 5 nieces. The thought that some sexist jackass like Obama will demean their accomplishments by using a word like 'sweetie' which is the sexists version of 'boy' makes my sad. That people would defend such actions makes me mad.
How would you feel if I said 'don't worry sweetie the men will take care of this'? You strike me as a strong independent lady who would rip me a new one for such a condescending attitude. The reporter should have done the same with Obama.
|
He DIDN'T say, "Don't worry, sweetie, the men will take care of this," did he? Of course not. In fact, no one has posted on here the context of the "sweetie" comment.
I would rip you a new one for the condescension. For simply calling me "sweetie," however, I wouldn't. Nor if you called me "honey" or "dear." Not if those nicknames were coupled with an actual respectful attitude.
I think your outrage is indicative of your previous opinion of Obama.

Based on attendance, NASCAR is the most popular sport in America.
These Obama supporters prove again, they hate Americans and think we are inbreds.

The polls taken show that calling women sweetie is not derogatory especially if women do not not mind. However, if a female tells someone not to address her as "Sweetie", enough said....that individual should not be addressed as such.
But hey, Obama called the reporter and appologized....no harm--no foul...Right!!
Its not like Obama called her what McCain called his own wife in a fit Rage! You do recall McCain called his wife "Cindy".....A CUNT!!!! I wonder if McCain ever applogized.....or how many times McCain has called Cindy, a Cunt over the course of their 27 year marriage.
Have a nice day KP.....and you Conservatards just chill out! Sweetie won't get as much mileage for the Republican Hopeless cause.......the GOP needs to stick to the ISSUES!!!

It is inappropriate and insulting for someone to call a lady 'sweetie' in the work place. Obama could call the lady anything they decide on in private, but in the work place it is not professional.
Rasta, Imus apologized numerous times and Obama still demanded he be fired. Why should Obama not be held to the same standard he demands of others? Give me one reason why Obama is exempt for basic standards of professional behavior.

Sweetie: one who is sweet.
Nappy-headed ho: one who is black and promiscuous (possibly for money).
Hmmmmmmm.
NOT that I agree with Obama that Imus should have been fired. I defend his right to say anything he wants on the radio, and the marketplace (not Al Sharpton) should have decided that if he's so offensive, they would stop listening.

Naturemomma has posted several times that Bush, meaning the US servicemen as Bush is not in Iraq, has killed millions of innocent Iraqis.
Give me the names of the thousands of people.
There have been innocent people killed. Many of our soldiers have died to keep down the number of Iraqi civilians killed and injured. Your friends, the terrorists and thugs, hide in civilian areas to help protect themselves and to inflict casualties among civilians. I remember reading one story where members of the Mahdi Army took a lady out of her house and killed her accusing her of being a whore. Later that day with her body still lying there they brought new renters to the house.
I will reiterate slowly to avoid confusing you. Naturemomma has accused our servicemen of killing millions of innocent Iraqis. For her slandering our soldiers I have very little respect for her and I let it show. Assuming that she is a lady and not a man claiming to be a lady.
