Ho is often a term of endearment in some black, hispanic, and white communities. As I pointed out there was more outrage at nappy headed than ho by many black ladies. One man's ho is another man's sweetie, and neither, NEITHER have a place in a professional enviroment.

Where are these people in these communities? Just because you hear a rapper say it doesn't mean that it's a term of endearment for every black man.

Does sweetie, nappy headed, or ho belong in the work place?

Rap is a snapshot of a culture. From that culture we have hos and baby daddies both which are badges of honor in the culture.

Absolutely not. In fact, I would say that Imus' "nappy-headed ho" comment was more offensive, yet also more suited to the environment (his radio show, which strives to shock people). However, Obama's relatively mild comment was unprofessional, for which he apologized. And it's not terribly offensive in the first place.

Alright. We have now established that 'sweetie' does not belong in the work place. I think he believe he was in the 57th state of Kentucky that borders Arkansas and so sweetie was acceptable. Seriously though, even after Imus had apologized numerous times Obama was calling for Imus to be fired. Why should we not hold Obama to the same standard he demands of others?

Good thing I did not say it was THE black culture, better yet I did not say it was a BLACK culture. There are many whites and hispanics who have bought into that culture.

And I'm sorry, but when you say "rap" and "culture" in the same sentence, it is black you are talking about. Some hispanic and white people have bought into it, same as they have bought into black culture before this (jazz?) and probably will in the future.

Now Obama himself has fed into some of the worst stereotyps that his two young daughters are having to deal with today in America. Obama should be finally be held accountable to the same standard he demanded for Imus and ABC.
