Its not only that, WOW. Its the fact that Jetblast thinks it is unfair and tries to find every touchy-feely reason not to do something that is unfair rather than looking at it honestly and logically. No reasonable and sane person would argue against showing ID to vote when you have to show ID for just about everything else in this country.

Using the voter ID card, we should also do background checks to make sure these voters are filing income tax returns.

Convicted felons lose their right to vote for the simple reason that they are negative to a society. How about adding the losers spending years on our tax doallrs whom are capable of work but refuse to which are also negative to society?
Honestly, there are many felons I wouldn't mind allowing to vote if they are a positive to our society after a given time. But the freeloaders will forever bring down a society.
Give them an ID that says *LAZY ASS LOSER* to use for all check writing, driver's license, etc.

You're right Crowley. My brother Med and I were talking about this just the other day. We make a few extra bucks down at the local University "enforcing" the political correctness speech codes. Some punks were secrectly William F. Buckley books. So I said to Med, as we dragged the punks down to the dean of thought crimes, "You know, if those evil fascist neocon Republicans get their way, we won't have any freedom at all."

Did you bump into any private guards pulling people out for anti-Bush bumper stickers?
These neo-cons have real balls. They aren't afraid to mock you with things they are guilty of. There's no shame or conscience to these people.

Give it up, flameout. You've had your jets scrubbed, back to the hanger with ya.

When you get someone to respond to an intelligent point with something like this you've pretty much won.
This is a clown room.

Just because your town doesn't have any voter fraud does not mean there should not be a way to prevent it from happening. Your argument that because there is no "evidence" in your state and thus should not be a law or a way to prevent it is stupid and illogical.
|
No, pefectly right. And just because there is no revolution in this country based on pure evil doesn't mean that we shouldn't have an extreme police state with no personal rights and full government control. You guys have convinced me, the Constitution just causes problems and we should have a free right wing way in this country for smooth flow - just like the smooth flow of air through the head of someone who would write something like this seriously.
I think most intelligent people would see this site is occupied by a group of clueless jerks.

No, this was the university - anti-Bush stickers are part of the parking permit.

Evil fascist neocon Republicans, always mocking good Democrats like us. That's why we have to keep our political correctness speech laws enforced. If we let neocons speak it will destroy freedom of speech.
We Demcrats understand that true freedom is only found through absolute and unquestioning obedience to our party masters.

Wyatt, What you need to show me are the numbers of people excluded from voting because of voting machine shortages deliberately planned by republican-controlled election committees and the actions taken to counter that in Indiana or anywhere else.

Ok, Since I am in a good mood today, Your right there is no rampant fraud, It is a myth, just islolated cases.

Michael Waldman and Justin Levitt - The Myth Of Voter Fraud - washingtonpost.com
Quote:
Allegations of voter fraud -- someone sneaking into the polls to cast an illicit vote -- have been pushed in recent years by partisans seeking to justify proof-of-citizenship and other restrictive ID requirements as a condition of voting. Scare stories abound on the Internet and on editorial pages, and they quickly become accepted wisdom.
But the notion of widespread voter fraud, as these prosecutors found out, is itself a fraud. Firing a prosecutor for failing to find wide voter fraud is like firing a park ranger for failing to find Sasquatch. Where fraud exists, of course, it should be prosecuted and punished
|
But you can alway's find story's of some yahoo trying to do it and if people get caught there is more out there who don't get caught.
