Default Bush and oil companies

Re: Gasoline prices have more than tripled at the pump since Bush took office. any defense, anyone? Quote

Bush is doing his job. He has done exactly what he was appointed to do...

case in point:
In 2005 Exxon Mobil recorded the biggest corporate profits in history...

only to break their own record in 2006 by again recording the largest gross and net profits in the history of the world!

In 2006 Exxon Mobil posted gross profits of 377 BILLION (more than most countries!) and a net profit of 39.5 BILLION.

Bush is an oil man and his #1 duty is to serve the interests of big corporations, especially BIG OIL.

He has done his job

Unfortunately what you see is not new. Just as in the past, some people understood, from the start it is too little too late. However nothing has changed, all the protests, all the hunger strikes. We have moved neither forward nor backward.

well but this is cool

The Fortune 500's biggest winners - Exxon Mobil (1) - FORTUNE

Exxon Mobile outperformed every other company in the world and is at the top of the list. I bet they liked having Bush and cheney in charge.

The CEO should be fired. Sales going up 7.4% with profit lagging behind at 2.8% is bad for the company, bad for the stock holders, the retirement plans, and is unhealthy for a company.

It was a great year for Warren Buffett with Berkshire Hathaway growing 20%. Much higher growth than the oil companies. We need to get some Congressional hearing on his windfall profits.

Like OMG, At & T's profit was up 63%! Time to make them invest their windfall profits into alternative signals.
