why would you vote them out? if things were not well you should have gotten envolved. You sound like one of those people who love to complain but will not get involved to change things for the better.

Actually I'm one of those people who's smart enough to know when he's getting screwed, and then does something about it. But I really can't take all the credit since the vote last December was 72% dump the union to 28% keep the fuckers. (And we're pretty sure some of that 28% who voted to keep the bastards were too stupid to understand the ballot.)
Because the union insisted all bonuses had to be eliminated, we actually were making less after they "negotiated" a paltry little raise (in addition to the normal annual raise the company traditionally offered) on just the first year of a five year contract.
After a year and a half without a contract after the employees originally voted to let the union in, the employee who was our lead negotiater died suddenly of heart attack. The union provided a guy who settled in less than a week. At the meeting where we voted on it, this jag off assured us this was the best we could get. Shit, we'd of been better off leaving things alone and not paying these fuckers the dues! Next thing we know we're paying more in monthly dues to these scumbags than the raise was worth. And, like I said, no more bonuses. (I guess unions don't like people getting rewarded unless they make the call on who gets rewarded and who doesn't.)
Looking back here's what was clear to just about everybody with an ounce of common sense: all the union was interested in was fleecing us for dues. Even the shop steward got sick of dealing with people who came to her with grievances that the union refused to bring to management. In her words: "Fuck these bastards!" About the only people who the union seemed to bother to help were the chronic fuckups and slackers that everybody wished the company would fire anyways. And aftrer a year or so they quit doing much for them either.
Speaking of management, a few months before the vote I was talking to the branch manager, who came in a couple years after the contract went in effect, and he couldn't believe the crappy deal the union talked us into. In his words paraphrased, "...it's almost as if these guys were in collusion with management. It's hard to believe they came up with this deal." Then again, 18 months had passed since we ignorantly voted them in and still no contract--hence no dues going into their pockets. Like I said, it wasn't hard to see who the union was working for. Themselves. And like I also said, what a bunch of fucking bottom feeders.

Isn't this typical of a Liberal. Why get rid of something that doesn't work? Just keep the thing that doesn't work but try like hell to make it work.
So in other words to a Liberal its like having a car that needs a valve job but you keep trying to give the car oil changes and tune ups to keep it going instead of just getting a new car.
All I can say, good for those people who saw that the union was not a friend of theirs. I was once a member of the Teamsters Union when I worked at UPS back in college. I can tell you for a part time employee, we had to pay the same dues as a full time employee and did not get any of the same benefits as the full timer. It was an expensive money grab from the union to fill their pockets. The union is not really the friend of the worker it once was a century ago.

But I have heard horror stories about non-union workers being harassed by union workers. We need hate crime protection for non-union companies and workers.

I'm not sure ArrogantResponse necessarilly falls into the "typical liberal" category. Sounds more like some guy that's just into selling the union BS line. On the other hand, you can bet he's a democrat (and not of the Reagan variety, more like a Daley-Chicago guy), and most likely a supporter of Her Thighness.

Actually you have it wrong.I am not a Democrat(most of them have NO Balls!!!)
I am a strong Union guy who would not want to work in my industry without it.
And i do not want to see Hillery as our next President.
Anything else you want to get wrong?

Glad you're happy with your union. The one we had screwed us so we dumped them.
My apologoies, I would think you'd be big on Hillary. You do know that she is the union candidate, right? My wife's a teacher and we get bombarded with stuff from her union to vote for Her Thighness. Within a few days after dumping our union, I even got a letter from the union's national office urging me to vote for the bitch.
So okay, you're "strong union guy", but it appears you think for yourself instead of going along with what the union says. I knew all along there were a lot of you guys out there.

Apology accepted Most of us are freethinkers, not drones.I do what i feel is right for not just me,but the country as a whole. The Union is not perfect(i will admit)but its the best defense we have against corporate greed. The whole thing about being in a Union is that it is only as strong as its members.if you do not get involved it doesn't work.
As far as endorsing a candidate,my Union backs Obama. He wouldn't be my first choice but i like him more than "Her Thighness" (as you put it so well).
I think all of our choices Suck ,but we can only deal with what we got. Can't be any worse than it is now.

Nice paste job, Petey. Unfortunately, in this case, "getting screwed" was just a figure of speech. It's pretty obvious to most people...like it's pretty obvious what a worthless little twit you are.
For anybody interested, here's Petey's lated video:
