Default Why is Israel taking a swipe at Gaza?

Israeli forces have entered the northern Gaza Strip after aircraft bombed a suspected weapons factory and border tunnel.

No casualties have been reported in the early-morning air strikes, which were part of Israel's month-long assault on Gaza to recover a captured soldier and end cross-border rocket attacks.

At least 150 Palestinians, around half of them gunmen, have been killed in the offensive.

Palestinian security sources and witnesses say Iraeli tanks and armoured vehicles have entered the Erez industrial zone in north Gaza today.

An army spokeswoman said: "The forces are there looking for tunnels and explosives".

"It is not a big operation," she said.

"Palestinian security sources said the Erez incursion could be a prelude to a raid on the nearby town of Beit Lahiya.

The army says one of its targets overnight was a factory in Gaza City used by militant group Hamas, which controls the Palestinian Government, to manufacture and store arms.

The army says it has also bombed a tunnel along the Israeli-Egyptian border near Rafah.

Israel has rejected demands for a prisoner exchange by the gunmen who captured Corporal Gilad Shalit by tunnelling under the border on June 25. Some of the gunmen belonged to Hamas."

Default Gaza

Think of the GOOD news, though! Two FOX NEWS "journalists" were kidnapped. Why do they call reporters for FOX NEWS journalists? I would think real journalists would be insulted. Shills would be a better title.

I do not think anyone should be kidnapped and I really have not read the story. I feel for anyone taken against their will however I would say they are not journalists but truly White House staff. Maybe they shoud have been provided secret service protection.

I would think "weapons factory" and "tunnel" sound like two very good reasons.

Isreal has to try and control Gaza, since the UN brokered cease fire has Hezbollah and their allies Syria and Iran proclaming victory.

Chateauroux, Now you are condoning the kidnapping of US citizens.
And Fox news is just a trust worthy as say ABC with its false reports and Mike Wallace making the Iranian President look like an innocent.
