Bush's little visit this past week has just pissed off people more in the ME and the question was asked over and over by officials in every country he has gone too...(as well as your common folk)
"It is 2008, and he shows up now?"

And just who do you think these "investors" are?... You also fail to point out that NAFTA and all the other "free trade, fuck America" policy's have created demand for oil in China and a host of other 3rd world nations that are buying oil like never before because as our manufacturing base leaves this country to take advantage of oppressive labor and weak/non-existent environmental laws we, as Americans will be paying the price..at the pump and with every utility company also..
As much as that dumb ass Teak would like to think that this is not happening, we are indeed heading down a very slippery slope and without a clear " America first" policy..we can only get even more fucked. And it was Clinton that helped usher in NAFTA and all the other bullshit globalist elite policy's designed to strip our country of our wealth and eventually our sovereign country.

Here's the blatant irony Nate. The Bush administration NEVER stated their goal was to control the flow of oil. It was to uphold the UN resolutions to rid him of WMD's to free the Iraqi people...
They constantly publicly denied it was about Oil & everyone that was on their side of the argument fought for that position. Ironically those apposed to the Bush doctrine argued it was about oil. Now you are arguing their same position.

Having bases in Iraq is a strategic benefit when we finally launch the attack on Iran, and make no mistate we will eventually be at war with Iran, no matter who is in the White House next year.
|
The only reason we'd be at war with Iran is because that's what they wanted. The only reason we'd be at war with Iran is because we CHOOSE to put ALL our energy into controlling oil as apposed to using our minds & resources & technology to ween ourselves from this external volatile power source. THAT is OUR collective failing. That IS teh definition of Insanity.

Oh, and by the way, the existance or non existance of WMD's and the death or continued life of Bin Laden is in no way of any real importance here. The issue is the free flow of oil that will allow our economy and lifestyle to continue. Now, if you really want to live in a mud hut and eat whatever floats to the surface don't try to protect that free flow.
|
But again that was NEVER stated by the administration.
Funny how years later you are parroting EXACTLY what the Liberals were saying were the REAL reasons.
Talk about ALL OVER the place.....

Wow this guy won't stop at anything to insult the military. The military is full of brilliant people from the kid right out of high school to the top brass. These people are highly sought after when they finish their military career and they are sought after by more than arms makers. A lot of these military buffoons as you would call them, are National Guardsmen and have other careers besides the military. These people are Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, Technicians, etc. I think you just showed yourself to be the backwater hick with little gray matter.

Military people are smart. It is the idiots like fedupamerian that need to get over themselves. He is so stuck on himself that he can't think right. When he asked a recruiter to join the military they prob turned him down because of the added weight he has. Never mind the lack of education of his.

To be perfectly honest Crow,
Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowitz said about four different things as per the invasion of Iraq depending on who and when they were holding a press conference (Protect oil/Democracy in ME/Saddam/uphold UN sanctions...blah blah blah). The goal line would shift as soon as the jig was up and someone figured out the last excuse might be full of shit. This is well documented in terms of the shell game they played...remember Rumsfeld getting pissed off in all the news conferences?
