Thank you rob. The UN seems to exist to make the world feel good about doing nothing.

Don't forget good ole Kofi wants international financing to develop an effective UN strikeforce, I wonder why this is? To save his when we catch him in another scandel.?.?

The scarry thing was that Kerry supported an international sales tax for the UN.

I consider myself a liberal, but I still don't like the UN. It seems to me that the UN is ineffective. If you go back into history, the UN is alot like the US government under the Articles of Confederation. There was no centralized power. This means that member states (or nations in this case) can ignore the rules with little or no consequences. I do believe Kofi Annan is a anti-American, yet America pays the largest percent of the tab on everything the UN does. I definetely think that the US should atleast cut the amount of money given to the UN.

Also, don't allow diplomatic immunity on parking tickets.

The UN does not want the US to run the UN. Just to pay for it. And, to pay extra for the peace keeping missions that it authorizes occasionally.

The planes that hit the WTC hit the wrong buildings in my view.

mel and I agreeing on something! Next thing you know dogs and cats will be sleeping together!

This is why I enjoy honest discussion. Common understanding and agreement is possible sometimes.
