I love it when you say "Yawn"! It shows that you are desperatly trying to play down the information provided but you cant do it by stating facts! You ever see someone do a fake yawn in reality in the midst of an arguement? LOL its verry immature and makes the guy yawning look stupid! Thanks Heckler!
How about actualy addressing the issue sometime? But then again that would require you to state facts to back up your arguement! We both know thats not going to happen!

Uh, exactly what threat are you wanting them to handle? Who is exactly the threat over there?
As far as the article goes, did anyone bother to actually read it and why they are returning? Desparation pushed them out of Iraq, and now desparation is driving them back into Iraq. The problem, if there aren't enough jobs and things are not secure in Iraq, they will turn to whoever will support them. And who do you suppose that will be?

An estimated 1,000 people a day are returning across Iraq's borders having previously moved abroad to escape the violence, Iraqi authorities say.
Most of the returnees are coming from Syria - and very few from Jordan, where better-off refugees tended to go.
An improving security situation - but also the lack of job opportunities for Iraqis in Syria - may account for the move, correspondents say.
However, at least five people died in a bombing in Ramadi on Wednesday.
A suicide bomber slammed a vehicle into a courthouse compound, police said.
The attack came as a sudden return to violence in a region which has become markedly more peaceful since Sunni tribesmen joined forces with the US military to tackle al-Qaeda militants last year.
Violence falls
Over 4.4m Iraqis are thought to have been displaced by violence since the US-led invasion of 2003 - but a growing trickle of those who fled the country are now coming back.
Iraq's ministry of migration told the BBC about 1,000 people were returning every day.
The UN's refugee agency, the UNHCR, estimates about 45,000 Iraqis returned from Syria in October - the first month of the school year.
One factor in their return is likely to be a sharp and sustained drop in all kinds of violence, particularly in parts of the capital Baghdad, following a US-Iraqi military "surge".
But the stream of returnees from Syria is not being matched by return traffic from Jordan, where there may be as many as a million Iraqi refugees.
That is probably because those in Syria are poorer, so their savings have run out more quickly, says the BBC's Jim Muir in Baghdad.
|
The United Nations disputes both the numbers and the reasons for the return, claiming a survey found that "46% were leaving because they could not afford to stay; 25% said they fell victim to a stricter Syrian visa policy; and only 14% said they were returning because they had heard about improved security." Also, "the incentives offered by the Iraqi government of some $700-$800 to return home, as well as free bus and plane rides, have also played a role in returns."
UN refugee agency cautious about returns to Iraq

Forget about the UN. Returning media are saying how much Iraq and changed and Congressman Murtha said "the surge is working" and now contradicting his own words in the very recent past.

It's because most of 'em have run out of cash and US handouts are better than Syrian handouts. Before it's all over, and after Al Sadr gets back into the ethnic cleansing thang, you'll have created a humanitarian catastrophe of biblical proportions.

What are they returning home too! A country torn up with destruction, death, and chaos. They're former homes either destroyed or occupied by sunni's or shia's; no running water, no safe drinking water, no electricity and no functional elected Government!
So what exactly are the Iraqi's coming home too!

What threat? I suggest you and the miltary come on home while we still have enough money in the TREASURY to give the military a HOME COMING PARADE!
I mean the military does want a parade for a job well done!
