That isn't the point anyway. The point is that when something like this said by someone on the right it is made to be a very big deal . . . not so much when it is said by someone on the left. Again, that double standard at work. To me, THAT was the point of this thread.

I guess I was jumping ahead... yes, there is a double standard. No, there shouldn't be.
What I was attempting to point out in addition, is one of the causes of this double standard. Everyone had something to say about this, but no one condemned the act, just the person and the party. If we want to live without those double standards, then the first thing our of everyones mouth should be....
It was stupid and despicable.
Instead the left used the right as the yardstick and the right used the blacks as a yardstick for what was acceptable behaviour.
Again I say, we all know right from wrong, there isn't one right thinking person that should be ok with this. And there certainly should not be the ridiculous they said it first/they do it more arguments.
Using other peoples wrongful actions to justify someone else's, is just wrong.
so.. ignore the double standard and do what you KNOW id RIGHT
