Yeah, I remember, I also remember never having to lock our doors, and being able to stand on a street corner without fear of being shot and wearing blue without fear of pissing off the Crips...or Bloods or whatever.

If no one has figured it out yet they don't want us to be totaly secure it the threat is eliminated they can no longer justify what they do such as take away more of your rights to privacy for one. You realy think if the average joe can figure out that if you seal our borders and I mean all of them then spend a huge effort for about a year deport all illegals and fine the shit out of those who house them and employ them (that will help take some of the burden off the tax payer) put a system of bouys off shore with infared and sensor sonar with sat. link and you could lock down the country. Then the only terrorist you will have to worry about is those trying to get in and very few if they are here. This would also put a lock down on drugs before they get here out of country. Not perfect but a hell of a lot better than what they are doing now and after set in place a hell of a lot less cheaper to maintain man power and money. We have the tech. and the know how but we do not why?hmmmmmmmmm figure it out. We try to hard to be friends with the rest of the world when they are the ones that should be trying to be friends with us.

They could have a easy pass , applied for just like a pass port.

Back ground checks in place , people could flash the pass and avoid this mess.

I hate driving , but I am traveling that way instead of flying more and more.

I swear I have worried in that Orlando airport that the old couple in line with me were going to pass out from exhaustion before we got through the lines.
