The people who have them (9 of em) are in a place where it's against the covenants and restictions.......and they say they'll put the fence up and come take care of them till they can find another piece of property.......I could have em fence off the 1/2 acre I want to turn into Orchard......and the road right of way where the state planted trees on MY LAND.......ehehehehehehe.........that way they'de be way out back......and convert all that vegetation into FERTILIZER instead O me bulldozing it into a pile and burning it off...........I'll have ta run it past the wife.......the grandkids would probably get a kick out of goats in the backyard..........I've been thinking more along the line of getting some Peacocks......They make Great YARD GUARDS :-)

John, My cousins had a few goats growing up. They are low maintenance.

Build them a few platforms out of wood (two different heights or more preferably). They like to stand on top of things. It's like they're playing a game of "I'm taller than you now"

THE MORE I THINK ABOUT IT....THE MORE I LIKE IT :-)

I mean.......a bag of fertilizer goes for like 8$........and to rent a dozer goes for 100/hr......it would actually be a very cost effective thing to do........I wonder what goat milk tastes like.......I HEAR YA CAN FERMENT IT ;-)

My 10 year old daughter volunteers for a retiree to clean her horse stalls and such. The woman has 2 horse, 2 goats, and 9 dogs. The dogs are usually separated from the goats, but one day she let the dogs play in the pasture. She didn't check on them for 30 minutes and 4 of the dogs attacked and killed one of the goats.

Goats are fun.

It was my oldest Son who knows the people with the goats :-O

And he had called my wife first (She was thinkin like one or two goats ) and she told him it was up to me......SOUND FAMILIAR

ANYHOOT......Emily is here .....and she's been to these peoples house and KNOWS the goats by name :-)

She only likes one of the goats........FAWN......apparently fawn is the only one who stays inside the electric fence......and when the others get out they knock ya down :-I

BULLY GOATS.......sound familiar :-I

SO......thank GOD.......what a little inside intelligence can do to keep ya from making stupid decisions ;-)
