Anyway yes NPR and even PBS are left wing media outlets.... that is a fact my friend.

And your argument of AM and FM host making more lets not foeget all these other station are for profit..... Npr is funded by you and me and i really dont think that money should be used to pursue a politicle agenda.... wether it be right or left or center or purple or yellow etc.
Gix... that sad part of this comment is that you have zero proof to back this up... well except the word of Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. I watch PBS everyday and NOT ONCE have heard a pro-dem agenda.

You are reaching on this one and I would like you to produce any content from these outlets that run counter to GOP ideals or are pro liberal.

Oh... and Sesame Street doesn't count. I know you probably will use this one since the show teaches tolerance to those unlike themselves, which is somethat would never happen on rightwing radio or TV.

I thought "Svete balls" seemed pretty liberal too me.

I didn't know classical music was for conservatives?

"but in america Conservative is good old fashioned rock and role and country."

>>>Please don't use 'rock 'n roll' and 'country' in the same sentence. Country music is an abomination.

That's because any reasoned approach is considered "left wing". It's basically thinkers vs gut feelings.

You've struck me as the kind of snooty fella that wouldn't care for country music.

Snooty??? Nah, I just have my standards. I don't like twangy guitars or whiny voices. And is it just me or do all female country vocalists sound identical?

There is a lot of similarity in sound, but I'm not an avid listener. Only a hick once in awhile.

I just don't like how they all claim to be 1/16 Cherokee and such.

That is not really the case, NPR is vastly different and to think it is anywhere but down the middle you're fooling yourself.

Yes, they have to compete for a great deal of the money as per contributions. Why the hell are you even concerned about the incomes of hosts who are competing on the open market for lucrative media jobs? Cokie Roberts is on NPR and could get job in at a number of places and is sought after. Like all industries, $ drives the train and in order to get good people you have to pay them. One of the reason I listen to NPR a lot is they typically have good reasearch and are very careful they do stories at length and give far more information than most media outlets. Far right or left media DOES NOT do this.

NPR has given outstanding stories about Iraq on both the pro and con side, they have been giving great stories (at length) about troops and the problems they face at the grass roots level.

When it comes to financial matters NPR typically goes to the Wall Street Journal (those leftists, curse them!!!) and you cannot get any better than that. Again, those stories are lengthy and there a great deal more information given.

I would say we get a wonderful deal $ for $ with the little the government pays as per the total budget of NPR. This as compared to the BBC which is almost entirely government funded.

Maybe if you would be concerned about BBC and their salaries then I might listen but Gix, your concern is quite unfounded here.
