I have put Deadshot on ignore because he's part of the problem of the division of the United States, us vs. them. It's truly pathetic he has fallen victim to the us vs. them media. I'm really suprised by this, and yes I understand Lady's not reading, but I'll defend myself none the less.

Lady, I've seen you defend the likes of Smitty that stated that if you served in the military, but were not on the front lines - rifle in hand, you were not a real soldier, he actually stated that you were a pussy. Compare supporting someone who puts down so many people and trivializes their service to me calling Coulter a Cunt.

Lady, I've seen you agree with and support the arguements of LookAgain, someone who is homophobic to the extreme. LookAgain has posted almost exclusively anti-Gay and anti-Liberal posts since day one.

Lady, you've supported the likes of Gix, who consistently posts "hate" and derisive material shown to drive a wedge between Con and lib.

On the topic concerning this thread, the Democratic Congress will fix the V.A. and Bush will get blamed. Welcome to politics 101. I wrote you a PM, which you have probably ignored, in which I explained that had it been a Dem Prez and Dem controlled Congress for six years you'd be jumping on this to.

The "us vs. them" mentality is present in all of us here, lady. It's present when you support gix, kix, still dizzy, lookagain and other Con hatemongers. It's present when I support I Hate the Nazi Right or The Harsh Truth or Rastaman and other Lib hatemongers.

I've touted before that it'd be great to come together. To have the moderates debate and talk about the issues. But that's not what happens here. Lady you accuse me, then hit the ignore, when I point out the obvious. That's your porogative. But to try and slam me in your post, say that I'm part of the problem when you've done the same thing in the past, that's a joke.

I'm also surprised you think the Democrats will do anything. Basic politics 101 has shown again and again they will take an opposing side but then allow themselves to get shot down. Then they get to say they tried but those evil Republicans prevented them. Then the simple minded will think they are on the right side and the Democrats will still continue to get the kick backs from their special interest groups. Only more political parties making it too expensive for special interests to buy them will fix this solution. It's all about money.

We don't need soldiers draining this countries resources so a few can get rich. We don't need religion that interferes with our rights because they think whatever they are told by their preacher. Anyways, at least you normally don't spew hatred and you do try to think. Unlike those on my ignore list.

Reading the link in the initial post, it looks as if one of the biggest problems is the bureaucratic red tape - and it was cited a couple of times. That is not necessarily a product of a political party, but big government and big bureaucracy in general. As to the funding, the article says that funding has went up the past six years and is probably going to be raised again. Money certainly helps, but creating less of a bureaucratic mess would probably do just as much if not more.

As a servicemember, I am amazed at the level of "selective compassion" coming from liberals!!

The Walter Reed fiasco has made liberals and the media wet themselves with intense glee, when the FACTS tell us that situations with places like Walter Reed, the treatment of Vets, isn't a phenomenom that "just" occured! These problems have been around for quite some time, yet NOW these problems are conveniently making headlines??

GDF, you are very right about this. They have no idea what type of care a service member receives from brand new doctors straight out of school to experiment on them or their family members. Also the care and support for our veterans starts with the revolutionary war to date. Walter Reed was bad for a long time, in fact folks the BRAC tried to schedule it for closing but DC Mayor fought to keep it.
