CNN: U.S. troops to forgo training in rush to Iraq

cnn will report anything to sway public opinion. They make it sounds like they skip boot camp and throw them on a plane to iraq......

All training is important.

As far as CNN's biased, the same could be said for FOXNEWS. Gix, you've brought several links to this site that had a HEAVY anti-Liberal biased. At least CNN, and FOXNEWS, are legitimate news organizations, that are biased. Not the rags of the far left or right which you quote.

Umm.. the desert training was not routine throughout the Army. Most troops didn't go there to begin with. They got the same training, just not in a desert setting. So their making a big deal out of nothing.

HAVE THEY DEFUNDED ANYTHING?!?!?!? No, they havent'. They've talked about it, that's it TALKED! Your side IS, we have PROOF, sending men and women over there without that training.

So which is worse, Gix? Not training them and sending them over or still training them, but TALKING about not training them and sending them over there.

Hmm, I wonder. As of today the Democrats have been in control of Congress for less then two months. Of the almost 1400 days that we've been in Iraq the Democrats have been in control for about THREE PERCENT (3%) of that time. Gix, you do realize that Bush and the Republicans had total control of the Presidency, Senate and House from March 2003 until January 2007. You also realize that since the Dem's don't have a dominate majority, Bush can VETO almost anything.

So how do the Dem's "own" anything?

The other is the 2nd Brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division, based at Fort Stewart, Georgia, which is due to go in May for its third combat tour since the war began in 2003.

Big deal.... OJT is really the best training....

They have been training since they rotated out of Iraq in Jan 2005.
