Default Israel Seeks OK to Use Iraqi Airspace For Possible Iran Attack

Quote:
The Daily Telegraph is reporting Israel is seeking permission to fly fighter jets through Iraqi air space in case the Israeli government decides to attack Iran. Three Arab countries -- Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates – have reportedly told the United States that they would not object to Israel using their airspace.
"in case the israeli government decides"? Is this even a question? I wonder what Qatar, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates are getting for this?

there are growing signs that high-level officials within the U.S. government are concerned over the administration's Middle East policy. Seymour Hersh reports that John Negroponte resigned his post as National Intelligence Director for a job at the State Department in part because of his discomfort that the administration's covert actions in the Middle East so closely echoed the Iran-Contra scandal of the 1980s. Meanwhile the London Times reports that up to five senior US generals and admirals are signaling that they will resign if President Bush attacks Iran.
I wonder who those five senior US generals and admiral are? And how does this echo the Iran-Contra affair? I thought that was all about selling drugs to Americans that they got in central/south America to secretly finance a war against Iran that was illegal. Other than attacking Iran again are the conservatives once again selling drugs to Americans? I thought the Conservatives just drove up the budget in a we'll get it or the country will go bankrupt mode. No need to sell drugs any more...?

Don't let your blind hatred cloud your mind. How much money do you think it would take to bribe THREE RICH OIL NATIONS? That is right. There ain't enough money. Not everyone is like the Dems, who sell their ass to the highest bidder.

Dude, this is just another way to remind Iran that Israel will strike if need be.

To be blunt the Saudi's, Jordan, Syria and even Turkey would find it quite difficult to stop an Israeli bombing run. Also let me remind you that Turkey and Jordan both consider themselves allies of the USA. Saudi Arabia considers itself a strong ally. The shooting down of an Israeli jet fighter would be catostrophic to those regimes...none of whom supports either Syria or Iran.

To be historically accurate it was to support a covert war with Nicaragua.
Reagan sold missiles to Iran to free the hostages. That was the point of Iran/Contra.....

You may proclaim yourself to be up on current affairs but your history is lacking... Should I block you for being ignorant?

Iran is more dangerous to regional stability.

I'd rather you didn't and thanks for the correction. I didn't pay attention to what was going on there at the time and it has never really interested me. I guess I'm striking out badly today. This is the second post I've been yanked up by my collar.
