Default "at lease as aggressive..."

"Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice challenged former President Clinton's claim that he did more than many of his conservative critics to pursue al Qaeda. "What we did in the eight months was at least as aggressive as what the Clinton administration did in the preceding years," Rice told the New York Post."

Simple facts of the matter are you dismissed Sandy Berger when he wanted to tell you about Al Qaeda, and you failed to make sure Bush read "Al Qaeda Determined to Strike in US." Sorry, Condi, you dropped the ball.

Of course she dropped it. It was slippery and wet when Clinton gave it to them. Apparently it was covered in some milky white substance.

LOL! Maybe Berger is confused and those were the papers he stuffed in his pants. Or better yet, if his administration didn't give a sh*t, why should anyone else?

Wait a minute George. By doing nothing they were EXACTLY as aggressive as the Clinton administration.

Hi George

I can bet that this issue has been addressed in this forum at least a dozen times, but I will weigh in nonetheless. Clinton and his followers will be very upset when Condi brings to the table the proof they are requesting. The administration cut the budgets in the intelligence and defense departments. Clinton himself placed left wing trial and criminal justice lawyers that are anti defense anti justice and in turn tied even his own hands. I don’t think that Condi is going to have any problem proving the administration was weak and disorganized when it came to terrorism.
Clinton claimed himself, “bin Laden had not committed any crime for which he could be arrested”, but on November 5, 1998, A federal grand jury in New York City delivered an indictment against Osama bin Laden accusing him of engaging in a long-term conspiracy to attack US facilities overseas and to kill American citizens whenever possible.
Bin Laden should have been hunted down then and there. A federal indictment allows two police officers or 50,000 Marines to make an arrest.
Clinton claims he turned over a detailed counterterrorism strategy to the Bush White House which he says they ignored. But in a press conference in 2002, Richard Clark, whom Clinton cites as someone who knew he was serious about fighting terrorism, told reporters that there was never any strategy transfer from Clinton to Bush.
