Honestly, they are waiting because they are not too stupid enough to know how much it would hurt thier cause to lose this fight. Hezbullah in that region is doing the bidding for all these cowards. As the hours go on the more I see this. There are enough people in Iran to know how incredibly costly the Iraq/Iran war was and they do not want to go through another dark age for 10-15 years like they did. Nothing wakes you up like going from prosperity to war and death, then back again.

Israel has kicked some peoples butts in conflict and nobody wants to be made to look like the fool again (ala 1968 and '73, et al). Honestly, the rhetoric these fanatics use is so absolute and dumb that they would get overthrown by their own people if they are wrong. That is the upside really. You always have to remember...in fundamentalist countries like this you are just a razors edge from getting ousted by the next up and coming kook who is promising eternal life to his followers.
