Its neither a beer or an ale, Its a STOUT and it doesn't just "come from Ireland". Its the best Stout on the face of the earth and goes amazingly well with pickled pigs feet

Ok, if i was wrong I am sorry, I tried it a couple of times and didn't like the taste. My wife likes to have a black and tan when she has a beer.

My bad
Stout is a style of dark BEER made using roasted malts or roast barley. There are a number of variations including sweet stout, dry stout, and Imperial stout.
I should have known better Rob. You were right, it is a type of beer. My favorite beer is Old Speckled Hen or the Belch Moor I used to make at home
