Talking only if for personal msgs.

Why ignore for reasons other than personal msgs?

Exercise your mind, deal with it that's what it is all about. Mental stimulation.

Excatly, I am here because of the wide range of opinions. I see no reason to put anybody on an ignore list.

It happens everywhere. Big frog, small pond syndrome. There are always some who get in on a forum early and have a bit more debating skill, or a larger vocabulary than the rest. As the forum grows and new people join, it is inevetable that the "big frogs" are eventually going to be outclassed and when it happens they get their collective panties in a wad. I suppose it isn't easy to stomach being taken down a few notches in the eyes of your acolytes by some "johnny come lately" so it is far easier to feign self righteous indignation and simply hide from anyone they can't handle.

Actually, I find it a pretty sad testimony to how America has "progressed" when a bunch of alleged adults have to get instructions on how to "ignore" someone; with or without buttons and links.

I think that there should be a posting list that says:
XXX prohibits yyy
ggg blocks lllll
or whatever. This way at least all participants can see who is evading or may be a troublesome poster.
There ARE problem children..( although the monitor is responsible )
but it would be nice to know the petty ones.

I'm curious..
I think that Ockhams razor, george o well, IHTNR, and rasta, as well as some others have used this feature to evade debate or rebuttal..
Would someone let me know if there is a way to know
if there IS a way to know if one is persona non grata?
Because they don't seem to deal with anything but their straw-man issues they erect.. and the posters they think they can insult to dismiss.
( like many of our newer colleaugues here )

Post This should be done please pass along.

The government today is being run by men and women hwo are trying to crush crime out of the youth by treating schools just like prisons with police officers and other official authorities. I beleive that this should be changed they should not be treated like convicts before they even have the chance to do the crimes they are being punished for. In wich case such more crime would be reduced if we treated our youth today with lessons why they shouldnt do crime instead of treating them like they have commited such crimes. I propose a world wide change to show the youth why moraly they shouldnt commit the crimes rather than treating them as if they know better if their parental figures wont teach them. We need, no must have this change done so that instead of threatening them they should teach them why they should not commit these crimes.-Lawrence Micheal Teague

I have never put anyone on an ignore list but I have thought about it alot lately. It seems that as adults some of us don't know how to have a coverstation without name calling or unable to recongize the merit of anothers point if there is one made.

look cross-eyed at TheHarshTruth...or disagree with him/her/it.
