I've had it with these banner ads
When the banners first started appearing on AWE they were subtle. As time seemed to pass more were appearing on the screen (Top & Side).
Now in addition to this i am getting banner ads that jump and flash like a strobe light, talking advertisements, and last but not least ads en espanol.
When the donation option became available to help support the cost of AWE's new server I thought that the ads would no longer be necessary. Hence, I became a monthly subscriber. As a monthly subscriber i'm furious that this shit is all over my screen distracting me from the forum itself.
At the least, do not make the banner ads visible to donaters. Although, If people are donating then the ads shouldn't be there at all. I'm very close to pulling my subscription.

The ads can be annoying. I have learned , for the most part, to ignore them. I keep my puter on mute, most of the time when at AWE. Is there a way to disable them for those who donate? That seems fair. Or would that be a way to coerce people into donating?

Sometimes you have to put up with the banners to have a free site.

Well since i'm doing a monthly subscription it's not free. Yet I still get all of those insane ads.
