Well I gave it up about 2 months before I had my daughter because didn't want to be caught with my pants down. You know have a few beers then oh got to go to the hospital. Plus until she is older you never know what could happen and I want to have my full faculties about me and be ready at a drop of a dime. I sure would hate to have something happen and drop the ball because I had a little buzz. I have never had a dui or an alchohol incident but I don't see taking the chance with my little girl. I see it as better safe than sorry their is only one of her and I would literaly die if I had anything to do with her getting hurt or not or not being their for her fully if she did. I never want to look back and say but I only had one or two beers ya know what I mean.

That's incredibly responsible. I didn't give up altogether, but after my kids were born, I would only drink one drink after they went to bed, and only if I knew my husband wasn't drinking (which he very rarely does). That way, I got to relax a bit, but responsibly.

That's good that you take extra precaution. Are you able to drink a few beers here and there?

LOL I hear that.
Actually the two beers do differ from each other. Both are stouts but the Extra stout is about 2% higher in alcohol than the Pub Draught. The pub draught has a widget in the bottom of the can in which dispenses nitrogen into the beer when it is opened to give it that super foamy head.
I prefer the Extra stout. It has a much bolder taste and more alcohol

I drink beer all the time but It is O'Douls amber. I have to say it is damn good it taste better than drinking a Coors and compared to coors it actualy taste like beer.lol
See you have to understand something my wife told me when it was comming close to our daughter being born. I was in the shop at the farm working late as usual and she came out and we oh were on about beer number 5. She asked me if I would be able to drive and of course I told her hell no. So she then told me you know dear this baby could come at any time how would you feel if you could not drive me to the hospital or I had to drive myself etc.etc..
See she knows me well if she would have told me what to do, well I don't tell her and I don't take to orders as we are both adults. She gets much better results if she aske or better yet just puts the facts out before me. Ya I catch on quick, I had got so buisy getting the ranch and all the equipment ready for winter that I was not thinking about having a few beers etc.etc.. She also knew how much this child meant to me. You see I got shot in the gut right at the belly button a few years ago and to make a long story short my chances of having a kid was about a million to one. Now couple that with the fact I always wanted a daughter. Ya I know guy , son and ya I do but I wanted a daughter first. Now I not only got one miracle I got two so when she brought my attention back to what was realy important that night I got focused again and did what I felt was the best interest of both of them.
Hell I'm getting long winded and sounding like a retard over a simple question. But to answer your question NO not ever I have not touched a drop since that night. When she gets older I will have me a real beer, hell I will probably grab me a Pabts in a bottle put it in the freezer then sit down and take an hour or so and enjoy the shit out of it.
