I just love the contrasts in the photo...

serenity and solitude with ghostly echos of the bustle of building and working the ship, and the presumed violent end.


The many thousands of miles it must have traveled to and from busy ports, now firmly planted, it's engines forever silenced.

The vibrant blues and greens intruded upon by the earth tone rusting hulk.

ANd of course, nature, delicate and changing with the wind vs. the rigid manmade seeming permanence of the steel... and yet... nature will reclaim it.
