We are a nation of laws...Its what civilized nations do well and what uncivilized nations aspire too. Truely what do you think this nation would look like without lawyers and judges?

I would like to say " HAPPY INDEPENDANCE DAY TO EVERY AMERICAN PAST AND LIVING TODAY"
For it is with the heart and courage of every American that won this nation its independance and continues to do so. For no battle is ever won with out support and that support comes in a variety of ways. (food,amunition,medical, family, industry and the people that do the everything down to the little jobs that make it all go around and possible)
We need to reflect this day on the many who gave their lives to give us this great nation (men,women and children). We must ask ourselves have we done the generation before us justice by truely making this nation a better one for our kids.
The founders did not leave us a perfect nation but layed the groundwork and means in wich to strive towards the most perfect nation to ever exist. Have we strived to do this or have we got caught up in our own wants and needs and the hell with what comes after us?
I take reservation when I hear people say "THIS IS THE GREATEST NATION ON EARTH". Because they say it as if they are satified with how it is.
Now I am more about "THIS IS THE GREATEST NATION IN THE WORLD" because we have a great conpacity for good and the power to put it back on track when it has strayed from such good.

I think he speaks of the corruption of both wich puts some above the law. This has become more common place every year and will help lead to our down fall. The claim that we are a nation of laws lies heavily on the premise that NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

I agree, and thats why its so important not to let politics infest the judicial system. democrats and republicans should unite on this issue..keep politics out of our courts..
