That must have been a while back (decades)..... I remember when they first started making that red stuff ....and they did in fact CALL it red licorice ...... someone must have pointed it out that it WASN'T licorice ...sooo ..... they started calling it red ropes or red vines .... but that crap ISN'T licorice and never was ... If it IS licorice...it TASTES like licorice...
