I never get bored, I have way too many hobbies for that. But, if I were ever to get bored to relieve it I would just set off firecrackers around the Democratic Party Headquarters to watch them all piss themselves.
When I get really bored I organize Bar Mitzvah's to be held at Canuck and Icy's house

Well, gyms are not as rare as very boring. Say, even under the Soviet regime we had not bad halls for playing table tennis. But now who can pay for it are not able to play well, and who were good at it have no money
It is fantastic indeed – I had three huge sport facilities near my house and they are absolutely dead. People haven’t time and money to go there. I had a couple of dozens of tennis courts near me too. They had been staying empty for several years and then destroyed…
Well, I am doing one thing or another all day long – I am dreaming simultaneously. : )) And I have a Live Journal
.
It amuses me too.

I like going to gym around 8am, I'm a "regular". I also take the dog for a 45 minute walk every day, it's incredible beautiful at the top of the hill we walk. Mountains everywhere, God's country. I am also a secretary to the hubby and a taxi to the kids.

Al, do you like to gamble or are you into supposed "sure things"? I like to calculate risk but what I really like is taking the risk. Nothing like getting your ass kicked in blackjack to cleanse one's mind huh? lol Are Russians risk oriented by nature or adverse to risk?

Oh, no, I am not a gambler. I am a former soccer coach and I believe that a person should be into ‘sure things’
I don’t think that Russians are good gamblers that they never have money : ))
Cottonbroker, I think that the Russian nature can be shown with an easy example. There are two our main words ‘avos’ and ‘nebos’.
Avos – is something like ‘let’s risk it’
Nebos = don’t fear
Imagine that you are driving a car and approaching a very old bridge which can collapse any second. If you are Russian you’ll drive you car to the bridge with words ‘avos, it’ll be all right’ or ‘nebos, it is OK to drive here’.

So would it be correct to say to someone (as you approach a bridge, for example) "Avos it and Nebos" ???

My wife and I have started working on transcribing the old family recipes to a new cook book. We have been working on it for several years and it takes time to work them out giving exact measurements plus we are also adding new ones that we find.
