I don't even know if this story is true and what is more I don't care, but for the hypothetical, I find it interesting that if true, the women are defending their actions by not calling themselves mistresses. Then more blame is put on the men. Then it appears you are blaming the wives more than the 'mistresses'.
I think your statement is wrong. Whether needs are met at home or not some men will still look. Can Oprah really fulfill needs?

Liberal?
I guess you can call all the men Larry Craig met in bathroom stalls 'mistresses'?

Apparently she fullfilled someone's needs for a time.
And I think she's still involved with Steadman, isn't she? That's been a long term relationship that obviously doesn't need a piece of paper to quantify it.

It was strange pussy, that is the only need that needs to be filled by most cheating husbands.
Do you still think the wives are to blame in this situation? Are they really at fault more so than the husbands or the mistresses?

I think it's more complicated than pointing the finger at one person and saying "they're to blame".
But obviously the men were vulnerable as were the women, and apparently they saw something in the other they appreciated and acted on it.
Now...if the home life was all that, why would they have been tempted to stray? I'm not saying it's the wife's fault for not "keeping her man happy", but it's the coupleship that apparently wasn't all it could be. And both the wife and husband have a part in allowing the coupleship to disintegrate to the point of vulnerability.

Disagree. The thing that most of these guys are acting on is a piece of ass with no strings attached. I doubt many of them are in it for emotional needs. Some, but not many.
