Default Always Wear Your Seatbelts

Today I get a phone call from the ER at the local hospital and it goes as follows "Mr. #$$ your wife has been in an accident". I am like "what?" they said she was in CAT scan but wanted them to call me. She was on her way to church this morning to go with her Mom on Mothers Day and she swerved to miss something went off the road flipped 3-4 times and broke the telephone pole she hit. She was actually facing backward in the seat somehow and was hanging upside down till police and medics arrived. She is banged up and very sore and a scratched up some but other than that she is OK. The medics said without seat belts she would not have survived the initial impact. I feel good because I have ridden her ass for years to wear her seat belts and was shocked when I found out she was wearing them. Glad the Good Lord took care of her....always wear your belts!

I second that. As a nurse I have seen too many who haven't worn them. I am glad she is okay.

Glad she is OK. I have been in three wrecks and the seatbels made it so I was not injured a lot worse.

Thanx everyone for the kind words. She told me whe she knew she was going to crash "big time" that she thought, "this is it and this is how I died". She was surprised when people were cutting her out of the car. One weird wreck...she said she was not going very fast but to break down a telephone pole roll 3-4 times? Some nice lady on the scene held her hand until the police and medics arrived. I had a weird feeling when she walked out to the car this morning but thought little of it at the time. She asked me a few hours ago "what would you have done if I had died in the car today?" Good grief. Since I stayed home while she went to church I would have never forgave myself for not being there.

On the lighter side of things, at least I had not just filled the car up with $100bucks worth of gas! And it was a gas hog.....I suppose their is a silver lining to most everything......She is laying here beside me now, knocked out.

sachem , she took a good lick on her head today. Should I awaken her every few hours or anything of that nature?

What did they say in the ER? Was the CT scan okay? It can't hurt, but if there was no damage she will probably be okay.
