I think some form of public service would be great. I disagree with it being purely military. I think what Europe has developed over the years of a serious peacekeeping element to their martial work is resolvent there. I think the military is not bad in any way but when the only dimension to our idea of service is the tool of war we limit our selves & our spirit.

With out question. Could not agree with you more. On top of that if we got past the version of the plant that is impregnated for THC it is useful for MANY MANY purposes. The list is long...trust me.

Harsh a bit feel good for the victim but in the real would quickly become complicated. I appreciate the sentiment though.....
Safe Rare & Legal. Yup.
Agreed, it achieves nothing. Texas is the most glaring example.

7. Graduated fines on what you make when you do something illegal, example:
If caught speeding the fine should be 1% of what you make in a year
Driver A who makes $10,000 a year should be fined: $100.00
Driver B who makes $100,000 a year should be fined: $1,000.00
|
Interesting concept. Not sure but I still think justice should be blind. Not reverse elitism.

Sounds cute & reactionary about something...not sure what but really not relevant. It's just a tool.
Refer to my response to Naturemama.
Trust me we are bigger than any military in the history of humanity. I think we need to look beyond killing but that would be redundant at this point.

Or (maybe I'm old fashioned but use the already existing laws to fine & or increase the fines for companies & people whom hire them...Seems obvious to me.

13. New drilling for oil,for new Nuke plants (If they are safe enough for France there safe enough for the U.S.A.)
|
Nothing will be gained 'really for drilling in Alaska. It's a drop but if there's more fine. I have for years been an advocate for Nuclear but I have found (actually from pipes) that it is negligible economically once all said & done for what we get in return. SO I have some serious questions about nuclear.
I think...beyond the fear of radiation....that nuclear is dependent on too many complicated variables. It turns out France is having some major problems as well....

16. Want National Weigh in Centers, where every year people wiegh in and if your a fatso you get taxed higher then us skinny people.
|
That's pretty funny & I can appreciate the sentiment. In reality if we had a food system based on more fresh & less chemicalized flavorings & wasted filler in our food supply we'd have less fat people. If anything we should actually take a cue from the French. Almost all of their dietary approach is about locally grown fresh & natural foods. They still eat lost s of butter & 'natural' fats. Fats are not bad. Artificial chemicalized crap is the problem because there's nothing of the body to digest o it just turns what it can into fat & shits the rest out. Hence the fat shit we see everywhere.

There is a great truth in that statement.

I profoundly disagree. I am thankful, DEEPLY thankful that the founding fathers made a conscious choice to have a civilian leader in charge the military. I understand that chicken hawks declaring war without relevant military or martial understanding is of consequence but I prefer a level head in the best scenario for someone who's had an experience of overall humanity to lead a nation. Not a person who's only had the brainwashing culture of war decide the fate of a nation. Now a caveat on my 'brainwashing' statement. People whom are indoctrinated with military training have to have their individuality rubbed out as it where in order to be good tools for the machine of the military. It is appropriate, don;t get me wrong, when it comes to being involved in the process of war. But that should not, cannot be the only criteria for dealing with the complexity of the human experience. If it is it will be the detriment of ALL humanity.

A more balance approach to labor would be a more accurate approach. See there is no trade there's just our companies going there to use cheap labor to sell us cheap Walmart style crap. We like it though because it seems a good deal in the short term. See consumerism....

A true challenge. Must confront that consumerism & mindlessness in some healthy way for that to come to fruition. I think...Good connected life affirming sex would be a start, (as a philosophical principle) as apposed to buying a whore for some guys quick fix but I'm odd that way. ;D
