In principle I completely agree. In reality it just won't work so easily. The cats out of the bag, the human resources are too diversified & because we have allowed our REAL vote, buying products be voted away by giving our money every day through buying said products we have squandered what ever power we might have in challenging multi national corporations.

See that's complicated but on many levels practically I agree. That way they are traceable & accountable in regards to the privilege & responsibilities in this country to drive...

Now see this one you got me. Right close to my heart. The whole Montessori education system was designed to help impoverished children after WWII to be educated in a very intelligent & community way. Where older children helped younger children through direct experience. A very wonderful educational model. A little funny thing happened when it was brought over here. The government mandated that is had to be private & charged money for it. It became known as American Montessori. A very sad decision in the long run for our educational system...but it was by design.

That can go many ways. In Principle Wisdom through experience is invaluable but in our current shell of a public school system, you are right they can be a real waste. But again refer to the previous comment ...there's just too much & it's complicated to talk about so ....I....uh....anyway.

I don't know what that means....If it means the government dictates medicine then no. If it means the government uses the combined economic power of the tax payer to negotiate better deals & upholds sound regulation keeping doctors & the medical profession fair & transparent than I am for it.

I think that Social Security is irrelevant when people are doing good economically & they say who needs that but when they are not doing so well economically they say thank God it;s there. I am just not sure it should be so easily tossed out.

I think some form of public service would be great. I disagree with it being purely military. I think what Europe has developed over the years of a serious peacekeeping element to their martial work is resolvent there. I think the military is not bad in any way but when the only dimension to our idea of service is the tool of war we limit our selves & our spirit.

In reality if we had a food system based on more fresh & less chemicalized flavorings & wasted filler in our food supply we'd have less fat people. If anything we should actually take a cue from the French. Almost all of their dietary approach is about locally grown fresh & natural foods. They still eat lost s of butter & 'natural' fats. Fats are not bad. Artificial chemicalized crap is the problem because there's nothing of the body to digest o it just turns what it can into fat & shits the rest out. I profoundly disagree. I am thankful, DEEPLY thankful that the founding fathers made a conscious choice to have a civilian leader in charge the military. Not a person who's only had the brainwashing culture of war decide the fate of a nation. Now a caveat on my 'brainwashing' statement. People whom are indoctrinated with military training have to have their individuality rubbed out as it where in order to be good tools for the machine of the military. It is appropriate, don;t get me wrong, when it comes to being involved in the process of war. But that should not, cannot be the only criteria for dealing with the complexity of the human experience. A strong military to protect is fine. To promote an idea becomes a quagmire. What is freedom? For some it may mean the freedom to kill because you don't lie how they think. For others it might mean freedom from being oppressed by those with an that very same thought. See freedom is complicated & the military has no place for the freedom of the soul. One can try to suppress another freedom for their own idea of freedom but in the end it just becomes another game of suppression. No one does not fight with militarizes for freedom at the end of the day one has it as a birth right. But they must be willing to fight internally to believe it is right in a world that actively suppresses it. Not in just the most overt dictator framework but in the more insidious framework of the banality of little paper cut suppressions of freedoms. The ones that say you don't count as an individual These are the more dangerous forms of suppression & no military will solve that. If anything military actively suppresses that because that is the very nature of what it means to be a good tool in military. THIS IS why military is not the solution to freedom. At the end of the day it is the suppression of the very thing we believe it is here to defend. No. A large military 'mentality' is a detriment to freedom. It is ONLY a last resort as needed not an aspiration.
