Actually I read most of the newer Thomas Ricks book (with updates) on the plane rides to LA and back in the past few days. Sad to see this whole f'cking war documented so accurately...the references are overwhelming and he lays all the f'ck ups out there and how REALLY bad Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Chalibi, and Feith were in all this...and El Presidente of course (basically hands off the wheel, like everything...like all CEOs who fail).

His references are overwhelming, he has really talked to everyone and refutes a number of other books and acoounts that try to cover up all the sh't, the prologue is very good too.

I read Nature's Metropolis once upon a time and it was pretty good. It tells why Chicago became the city it did.
