I did hear that fact some place. I'm not a huge fan of brandy. I prefer whiskey. My husband and I had dinner last night at a classic WI style supper club. I ordered a whiskey old fashion sweet. I know a lot of WI folks order those with brandy.

Might have to break into Spanish Coffee later....

What does Spanish coffee have in it? I had a coffee after dinner last night with Tia Maria and Kalua. Yummy.

just ordered raspberry vodka. will let u know how it tastes. i like vodka on ice. no mixers. we shall see

Good time of year for coffee drinks....

Spanish Coffee...

Take a clear glass coffee mug & preheat with hot water.....
Prepare coffee very hot.....

Empty water....coat rim with sugar
Pour 151 rum into glass, about 2 shots
Light with a match....
twirl glass to heat evenly until sugar starts to carmelize
Add shot of brandy, shot of kahlua
pour hot coffee to near brim
top with whipping cream
sprinkle whipping cream lightly with cocoa....

Liquid lightning that tastes so good!!!!

You got it down! I grew up on the southside (Oak Creek), but I'm in northern WI now. My folks still live there. I'm not Polish, but German. My dad grew up on the north side in a big German neighborhood. My mom was a southsider. Went to Bayview........
