I've already sent these types of letters to my senators and they just pretend that they've never received it. Anything else such as telling them how to vote on a specific bill they will send a follow up letter. Otherwise they just play dumb and you get no response.

It’s a little hard to collect useful information with these letters. Yes, people don’t agree with what they are doing but they already know they aren’t pleasing everyone. Letters or emails telling them how to vote are different. They can actually collect statistics and know how many people want them to vote which direction.
