Seeker if your thinking its just a republican problem your wrong. True its been mostly their faults for the last six years. But both parties have been selling us out for decades
But both sides of the isle have hurt this country over the last 20-25 years.
There is no way around it the government has sold us out.
In the 2006 election cycle 62 veterans ran for congress , just on the democratic side . 4 won their districts . The rest of them were told by the Democratic party that they had to raise a million dollars or they would not put them on the ballot. Local Democratic party organizations had to fight tooth and nail even to keep some on the ballot because the democratic national party told them they could not run their choice of candidate , we'll send you a electable candidate they were told. What showed up ? A local corporate big wig responsible for the out sorcing of local jobs in many cases . Some of the local Democratic grass roots organizations fought and ran their own candidates and many did not win. Because they got no backing and got worked against in many cases by their own party. They were not tow the line and feed corporate America Democrats.
And if you people think the Republican party isn't better at being crooked and controlling who runs for seats on their side your crazy. the Republicans have no morals at the national level about controlling who their candidates will be. They hand pick the ones they want. Several veterans ran for Republican office and very few of them were given party support either. Because they wanted to look into the reason this country is allowing soldiers to get killed now in iraq. Most had no problem with the war , they jut want things to be done now, to stop soldiers from dying needlessly.
They wanted this war( both sides) as its been good for business , and they are not about to let too many vets from either side get elected. Because veterans will want to know all the facts and see War as a last resort , because they understand soldiers die in wars.
Hillary Clinton is on the same side as Bush in this , trust me. Two peas in a pod those two are.
My point is if the people had any control about who was going to be president , Ralph Nader or Ross Perot would have been president a long time ago and we'd be a different and better country now.
Elections are out of control in this country, the citizens have no control over them at all. Give me a break
Electronic voting machines with no paper trails ........ You do realize this is what 2/3rds of the country will be voting on this next election don't you?
No chance to do it through elections , I am afraid, its a lost cause.
