YIKES....our kids are 9 and almost 12! One thing that does STINK big time is that they consider 12 and up in hotels and resturants as adults!

Hehehe , you ain't seen nuthin yet . bottom line , make them produce , put em to work , they will thank you later for it . My daughter wanted to get a little on the slackish teen side , I showd her what a slackish dad could (not do) . It took about two weeks .

Yep, plan on it. I started babysitting an cleaning houses when I was 12...always had a job throughout high school and college. My mom would say "IF you want to go on spring break YOU pay for it"...and I did.

Worst job I had as a kid was at an auto salvage yard. I made $.50 an hour as general labor, stacking tires, batteries and the like.
Best job was at the roller rink working the rental counter and cleaning up at closing. We had free run of the rink hours before opening and after closing. Best part was, if some guy were a real jerk, I’d rent him white skates…hehehe.
