Horse manure. Where is the evidence for that? Single payer will have to perform all the same bureaucratic functions as multi-payer. Furthermore, it won't have the profit motive to keep costs down. Single payer will cost more, not less. All it can do is ration care. We'll be getting a lot less care than we get now, and wait times will grow astronomically.

May I ask, what do you think of Ass Crack's healthcare plan? Just $2 per visit. What a bargain, huh?
I guess Ass Crack doesn't necessarily think doctors need to "be paid very well." As long as he gets what he needs, it looks like he could care less what the doctors get paid...or how much others have to pay to subsidize his governement-run healthcare plan.Originally Posted by GOPrapesUSA
I have a government plan.
I can see any Doctor, Specialist, Hospital and Clinic I want.
I pay 2 dollars per visit, 1 dollar for my meds.
Plus it covers my hospitalization 100%
Please show me a better private plan..
You can't.
By the way, that $2 per visit on Ass Crack's government plan, does it cover the nurses, medical and office supplies, adminstrative help, malparactice insurace (which BO apparently has any no intention of offering any relief), rent, and whatever else? In truth, Ass Crack has never revealed what he pays in premiums. Whatcha figure, $200? $300 a month. Hard to believe anyone could afford to give coverage to a sick piece of crap like Ass Crack.
So you think "doctors should be paid very well" do you? By whom? It would seem if you believe doctors should be paid very well you're not exaactly a big fan of government-run ObamaCare. But I could be mistaken.

It was a nice try though, skudzo.
The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (42 U.S.C. § 1395dd, EMTALA) is a United States Act of Congress passed in 1986 as part of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act. It requires hospitals and ambulance services to provide care to anyone needing emergency treatment regardless of citizenship, legal status or ability to pay. There are no reimbursement provisions. As a result of the act, patients needing emergency treatment can be discharged only under their own informed consent or when their condition requires transfer to a hospital better equipped to administer the treatment.

Massachusets has a state plan with 98% of the state covered.. they love it and it's very successful...almost too successful....So how about looking into one that's working ..instead of shooting your mouths off about what it's going to be...when no one yet has a clue?
There's about 2 states besides Mass...they don't seem to be falling apart either..
TATA
It's not successful, you moron. They are kicking 30,000 people off the rolls because they can't pay for it. They are sending immigrants home sick because they are cut off.
No state has higher insurance costs than Massachusetts.
Hawaii killed their keiki care becuse parents who could otherwise afford their own insurance were ripping off taxpayers and taking the government benefit.
Catch up on the news.
They can't afford it. It's the most expensive healthcare in the country. No cost savings. In fact, costs are going through the roof in Massachusetts. Another government lie debunked.
I used to work in healthcare, for payers, providers, Medicare, and Medicaid. Long enough to know you have your head up your ass if you think government should run it.
It's failed in every state it's been tried.
