The sad truth is that won't even serve as a deterrent. People would rather die then live poor in Mexico or other Latin American Nations. Perhaps their God(s) took care of them in the after life.

I am sorry for the children dying to cross over into this country. After saying that, I am still in favor of shutting the border down and enforcing the laws we currently have, but then again Congress is afraid of properly funding the INS. This has been a problem for at least 40 years and nobody in goverment has had the nerve to stop it regardless of party affliation.
