did anyone catch this show? If not a minuteman spent 30 days living with a illegal mexician family. What were your opinions after you saw the poverty that the came from and would you really send them back there?

saw the show about a month ago . . . and yes, I would send them back. There are legal means to attain citizenship and they should go that route. you can't make excpetions just for certain situations.

Have you seen the poverty some of our own citizens are living in?

Many Americans are oblivious to the fact that there is poverty in America...the homeless are like the "big white elephant in the middle of the living room" We just keep pretending they are not there.

I feel you should take care of the poverty stricken people in your own country before you start worrying about the poverty of others.

firsty i dont live in america, but im sure your citizens have a better life then those mexicans. If you send those mexicans back they will have no jobs and probable live in some field and drink out of a disease infested waterhole. So tell me what is better a human being that is illegal but is contributing to society and does the jobs that other citizens dont want to or send them to there death?

There is a common misconception that the illigals are taking jobs nobody else wants. Construction used to be a very high paying field for skilled workers. My husband WAS a stone mason. It takes a lot of skill to do it properly and can be very dangerous if not done properly. Many high paying construction jobs have been lost to illigal immegrants.

that maybe the case but they're just trying to better their lives surely you cant blame someone for that. What does you husband do now and do you still have the same income as he did when he was a stone mason?

I don't blame someone for trying to get ahead, if they do it legally. We depended on hunting and fishing to fill our freezer to get through the hard times for three years. He finally gave up, after one too many layoffs. Now we run a restaurant, and hopefully someday we'll have the income that we had then. However, It's hard for any company to compete with those that hire illegals.
