You conservative types sure like to squander resources on shit that doesn't work.

Damn, haven't we spent enough for you for the catastrophic failure in Iraq?

Now you want to spend millions more on an idiotic idea that won't work?

And I suppose the amnesty of 1968 worked. Just as, I suppose you believe one now will stop the invasion of illegals?

The best solution is a combined fence and employment verification, but liberal dimocrats (particularly those in elected offices) are against both of those measures, as well as any documentation that would allow such verification. So Yankee whats YOUR solution.

My solution? (I'm NOT a Democrat, way to the left of that)

Make employers pay livable wages for the jobs now filled with illegals.

Work WITH other governments for laws that support livable wages in ALL countries....first step.

And how do you explain the decrease in illegal immigration in the areas that have the fence in place? The fence is not the complete solution...its merely a deterrent--a rather effective one

Would you be willing to cross a border that has been mined?

Dubya's had eight years to establish control of the borders.

So despite the threat of terrorism, it seems that Mexicans are important to Republicans, who view them as their slaves.

Water will flow around barriers, then under/over them.

Fuck the mines. That's really stupid.

Stop the illegals from arriving, and employers will have to pay higher wages, or go out of business.

We can't wean countries like Mexico of the BILLIONS of dollars sent back by illegals. Just how do you propose we FORCE their government to increase wages?

Come on Yankee you can do better than that sorry attempt. Hell, thats even more pathetic than the liberal dimocrat approach.

What is the Republican approach, and how does it differ from the Democratic approach?

Well, Kennedy, Pelosi, and Reid are still trying to pass all the elements of failed Kennedy/McCain Amnesty Bill piecemeal, since they couldn't force it through in one big chunk.

Most Republicans are still pushing for an enforcement package, against employers, and those who provide sanctuary to the illegals, to accompany the fence. But then you know that, unless you live under a rock.

It just occurs to me that Republicans hire more illegals than Democrats, and always have.

Especially on the government subsidized farms of Rreublicans.
