My husband works in the construction industry - he's stuck working with them on certain jobs - someone who may not have the university degree but wants to learn the industry from the ground up and who do they hire - forget an American citzen! It makes me sick. First of all, tell me one Illegal immigrant who has a Social Security number and pays into the system. And why the hell am I paying taxes and they aren't? Illegal immigration is a growing problem across political lines. The dems see it as a human rights issue while the reps enjoy the profits from cheap labor. Illegal immigration (particularly from Mexico--the major demographic participating in this act), should never be encouraged but should be taken seriously and dealt with properly.

It’s not that they are taking jobs Americans won’t do, it’s they are taking American jobs. An unemployed individual or even one who is trying to make ends meet and feed their family, would do any job given to them. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I am a legal immigrant, an American citizen, have been in this country for about 20 years now and absolutely love it. However, when my family first came here, things were tough. My father, who has a master’s in engineering from Russia (which was worthless here), worked in McDonald’s and drove a cab for the first few years. He went back to school and now he’s a computer engineer. My mother worked two jobs to put my dad through school as well as feed two children. She worked as a beautician during the day and at night, she stayed late to clean the entire salon. Don’t tell me that when times are difficult Americans won’t do certain jobs.

Raising the minimum wage will not better the situation. If the wage is increased, the money has to come from somewhere else to balance out the system. Besides, it is unrealistic to live off of minimum wage due to increasing living standards.

We must eliminate the “birth right” program, get rid of NAFTA (thereby also stopping the outsourcing of jobs and industry to Mexico), reform (if not completely abolish) the welfare system, and punish employers who hire illegals. Also we must stop providing more incentives for illegals not to learn the English language. Spanish is everywhere and should be eliminated from the public sector. The American culture is eroding due to the failure of the government to regulate this problem. If it truly wanted to keep people out, it could. Khrushchev put up the Berlin Wall (though it was to keep people in, but relatively the same idea) and it worked for over four decades.

You corn-fed hillbillies better thank god for the history channel. MS13 is as far north as Canada at this point. And, it is because of denaturalization laws that they were able to escape persecution in the 90s. They commit crimes in other countries and are then deported back home. In el Salvador the mara salvatruchas, after being deported back, were going on huge murder rampages and escaping them by coming back into America again. One of el Salvador's biggest MS13 terrorist (he killed civilians on a bus) was even re-arrested once back in America, brought back AGAIN to el Salvador, but the salvi's were uninformed, and this murderer was inadvertently left free to go. So its actually the revolving doors of immigration which allow for a new type of "globalized" gang.

To anyone who don't know who MS13 is, you should learn, they're one of the worlds largest and most powerful gangs, and they spread across all of south and north america. They are active in almost every state in the united states.

Take everyone who is on welfare and is capable of working, bus them to the border and tell them to start digging. A trench 100 feet deep and 100 feet wide from coast to coast will pretty much deter immigrants, and the hole is big enough to accomodate MILLIONS of failed attempts.

Yeah, I know it will fill with water, and they'll just swim across...but since welfare is here to stay, they all get to take turns at manual pump stations. It'll be a perfect balance...as people get tired of pumping and decide to get off welfare, jobs fill up. Once all Americans are employed, then the trench fills up, and the Mexicans can come back in! If they start taking jobs, the trench gets manned by fresh welfare cases, and we drain it out again to stop further immigration.

It's brilliant!
