Well McCain is still an amensty supporter but as long as the house continues to here that voters are against it, that bill will not get passed. Keep your cards and letters to your officals going.

I write my senators and Congressmen regularly. I actually write senators outside my district as well. Since they do claim to represent my State. Anywho, I ask them on a monthly basis to phase out income taxes by cutting spending.

Illegals or no, that is my key issue. Illinois does not have a big Mexican Illegal problem. So I stick to rising Property taxation, and a growingly and regressively raising State Income tax. As well as infringements on my 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendment rights on a regular basis.

People need to start doing this. Does not matter if your an angry Libertarian or a bleeding heart Green. Let the assholes in charge know what you want and encourage like minded people in your circle to do the same.

Mass writing campaigns can do a lot to get Federal and State Legislator's attention.

The same Republicans who won't come out and say they're for "amnesty" but support projects such as the North American highway. The fact is, Republicans only care for cheap labor!
