Just heard on local radio the storm predictions for 2007 have been down-graded due to cooler than anticipated water in the Atlantic. Its still early in the season and I hope our luck holds.
I can't help but chuckle when the "experts" claim global warming is HEATING the water and causing more severe storms. Then, nevermind, we MEAN'T cooling the waters.

The arent claiming it is heating the water. The ICe caps are melting. Climbate changes are as plain as the nose on everybodys face. Denial of that fact for potlical puposes doesnt change it. ITs happening and more evidence does point to a man made cause.

Gix, note NOYB's post re global 'warming" He claims that global warming can also cause global cooling. Now that we are noticing that it ain't getten hotter every year they want to change it from global warming to global climate change. But I thought the entire problem was the greenhouse gases were causing the entire globe to heat up. If its climate change only and not just a heating up isn't that a different kettle of fish?

True. The simple fact of the matter is that we don’t have enough accurate climate data over a long enough period of time to tell if this is simple something in the climate pattern or indeed global warming. In all honesty global warming isn’t out to get us as fast as people believe. It’s only warming us at 1 degree every century at the moment. Important if it is indeed global warming and not natural weather cycles? Yes. Critical to the point where we are all going to die tomorrow? No.
